KPV is the C-terminal tripeptide of alpha-melanocyte stimulating hormone (α-MSH), comprising the sequence Lys-Pro-Val. Research has characterized its anti-inflammatory activity through melanocortin receptor engagement and direct NF-κB pathway modulation, with particular interest in gastrointestinal inflammation models.
Preclinical studies with KPV have demonstrated suppression of pro-inflammatory cytokine production and attenuation of NF-κB signaling. Research models have explored its potential relevance to intestinal inflammation and mucosal immunity.
Store in refrigerator at 4°C, tightly sealed, away from heat, light and moisture.. Keep frozen until ready to reconstitute.
Use sterile water for injection. Allow to reach room temperature before reconstitution.
Stable for 24 months when stored properly. Once reconstituted, use within 30 days.
