BPC-157 (Body Protection Compound-157) is a 15-amino acid peptide derived from a protective protein found in gastric juice. It has been extensively investigated in preclinical models for its effects on wound healing, tendon and ligament repair, and gastrointestinal tissue integrity.
Animal model studies with BPC-157 have demonstrated accelerated healing of tendon, muscle, and gut tissue. Research has explored its interaction with growth factor signaling and nitric oxide pathways in tissue repair contexts.
